Refurb the F1s or buy some new wheels

As it's summer, I really want to sort my alloys out. They have flaking paint and a s**t job was done at painting them. They are also SLIGHTY buckled apparently, but have been told I shouldn't be worried and I haven't had any air leak from them (I check once a week just to be safe and I would say every other month I have to put a little bit more air in).

I would love silver alloys as the Amphasite look is getting outdated IMO.

Here is how it stands at the moment.

I'm thinking about getting some Team Dynamic Pro Race 3s. The difference in getting a refurb on the F1s and some new wheels is only around £100-150.

Sell those (and tell people that they're buckled, don't be a c**t) and then buy some standard OZ F1's in silver.

Simples. Keep the F1's as track wheels and stick some nice track rubber on there. Then have new wheels as everyday wheels.

Then you could paint the F1's the brightest yellow possible to match your brake callipers

I just noticed that's not a Ph1. When did you get a Ph2?

So I change my mind. Get some SILVER turinis.

Revels I've always had a ph2. I would love a ph1 and do in the future. I don't want turinis again. And I wouldn't sell buckled wheels as if they were ok.

I'd be getting another two random ones, then when you refurb those, paint them up. Sell the two buckled ones as spares mate, they'll be worth something to someone who wants a fifth in the boot.

Look at slammed172's recent media thread for the correct ride height, and stop pissing about trying to buy a yozza.

Coilovers > All.

Done.

Also, look at the muscle car 172 thread, the f1's look great with a lip if you want to go darker, but I'd be going silver 100000%

There is a place by me that that has a funky selection of metallic colours for powdercoating.

£30 per wheel to shot blast and coat them.

I'm happy with my standard shocks and sportlines. After seeing how much FKs have gone up by, I don't think I would want to splash that much out on coilovers any more Considering some cheap K-tec ones though. But it's a MAYBE. That 172 with the lips done on the F1s look sweet but I don't want amphasite wheels

Oh and yozza :dapprove: It sounds so awesome.

Grabbing two F1's seems a good shout at the moment tbh. I'll see what I can find.
