reg plate transfer

hi folks, could anyone help with this problem

I have a new reg for the car

which my wife is the purchaser on the certificate
and my daughter is the nominee on the certificate

since Im off work could I go to the nearest DVLA office to assign the mark if my name isnt on the document
or does it have to be the purchaser

thought I would ask this to save me going through to the DVLA and getting knocked back

any ideas?

If you want to put this reg on your car (assuming that the car is registered in your name), then you will need to add your name to the rentention document as the nominee which costs £25 (from memory) and will take 2 weeks in the post.

The local DVLA office might be able to process this for you more quickly. Just remember to get your wife to sign the document first.
