Remap or Superchip?

Hello people should i get my clio 1.5dci 100 re-mapped or superchipped?

Whats the difference?

I can get the superchip done with quite alot of discount because i know someone who can get it done. Dont think they can do re-map cheap for me though so should i.. pay quite alot less and get superchip? Or is it worth paying alot more to get a re-map somewhere else?

Is there really that much difference?

Remap is bespoke solution - tailored under your car. Superchip is generic map which might work fine or it might be rubbish. Personally I will not let anyone play with my ECU with stuff downloaded off the internet

Ok so remap is more specific to your specific car?

Would I get more bhp and torque gains from a remap or a superchip?

The person who can get me a superchip done cheap has had a superchip on his 1.9dci Laguna for years and its been fine.

Id just go for a generic superchip map, a remap is more better if your car has mods on
