removal of passenger seat

i need to remove the passenger seat out my 182.
want to know how to do this without setting off the airbag and pre-tensioners etc.
bit of a dumb ass when it comes to stuff like this so need all the info i can get.

my mate works for renault, he said the airbag may go off when disconnecting the wires under the seats...

ON MINE THEY NEVER HAVE DONE,

I've taken them all apart before, and refitted the stupid connectors on passeneger seat and renewed connections on driver's seat. awkard to say the least

I've a 2001 mkII 172 airbags in seats, pre-tensioners etc.

There is some variance in the type of connectors though

disconnect battery and wait for 20mins to be totally sure it dont blow

disconnect plugs

unbolt the 4 bolts under the car, some of um are under rubber lugs

Yup Dick is correct, disconnect battery, wait 20mins, unclip plugs and then undo the 4 nuts under the car that hold the seat in.

There no way yopu can set the bags off if you let the system discharge then again airbags are touchy.
