Removed Ecotek From 1.8!

Just removed the ecotek valve from my valver and oh my god - what a difference!

I dont know if its just my imagination but the car pulls harder, brakes better and runs quieter than before - far superior! Im even getting the occassional flame out of the standard exhaust (it only happened on my old stainless system which i removed a few days ago)

If anyone has an ecotek id strongly suggest removing it to see the difference in performance cos if defo noticable - let the ecu do what its designed to! I just have to see if theres actually any difference in mpg now....

Wat did you do with the brake servo hose? Did you replace it completely?

On the 1.8 engine there steel piping to conect the inlet manfold to the servo hose which i replaced with rubber piping when the ecotek went on - i just put that back on.

Ah - selling to some local lad in about an hour!

Theres something to be said for standard looking cars i think - very subtle. It also makes it even more enjoyable beating newer cars as they always think "eh? I just got done by a 10 year old clio - WTF!"

Took mine off after running it for about 6 months, made a massive improvement, plus my engine temps are now running cooler! Waste of money!
