Removing Door Cards!

how do the door cards come out? jus pull?

are they easy to recover?

wot material do i use?

Most just pull off! Youll have to removed door handles etc! There may be a few screws holding it on, normally an easy job.

Piece of piss mate!! Taken my interior in and out soooo many times!!

But then you know im a dab hand with a screwdriver!!!

Just unscrew the the opening handle and pulling handle (2 screws), if your taking the whole card off then theres clips round the bottom of the tray bit then puuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuul!!

get a haynes manual, step by step guide on how to do it, it is easy tho!

Nah, just let Glenn loose with a screwdriver!

Rear cards are plastic and seem to be like spot welded with plastic or really strong glue. Need to prise them off gently and they do make a snapping noise as the plastic/glue that holds them on gives way. Fronts are cardboard and have really strong glue, need to be a bit more careful with these. Remove handle and door catch with torque screws.

After removing you will need to get a sharp blade or chisel and remove the remains of whatever held them on in the first place. Then you are ready to fit new opnes if thats the reason you are taking them off in the first place.

to put new material on em! its the only part of the interior that really lets it down!

so jus undo 3 screws to prise em off or in glenns case rip the fcukers off!

take the other material off first i would think its prob easier then! you only have to staple the new material on the other side

whatever material you want really? most ppl use alcantara tho cos its stronger but its up to you really? no wool tho!! lol

get some blue material from incar world then go up TT and rip my door cards off and do em at home!

urm well ive never really looked at mine but my material strips straight off but not sure how the actual cards come off? aint they just screwed on (take the door handles off and surely they come off then?)

If you take them off carefully they should fit back no probs!

need to do door card, gaitor, gear knob and dash

so i think blue and silver for the rest of it!
