Door cards

Hi all, I am building up a 200 for the ktec championship next year

So keen to put door cards in once I have stripped out all the electric window and regulator gubbins

Has anyone made these yourself? And if so where did you get the plastic sheets from ideally carbon effect?

Just trying to work out if it’s better to diy or buy them already done.

Thanks

Pete

Fun fact is you don't even need door cards (if they are not required). I just used self-adhesive matt carbon look foil. If you do it properly and carefully, it looks good and also dampens some of the outdoor noise. Plus no rattling and vibrations like the real carbon cards sometimes produce. Also the foil weights almost 0, even the lightest carbon door cards are around 1kg each, not mentioning the costs. Of course you need to be a little creative with the window switches and around the door handles, but it's doable. And it's easy to replace the foil if it's get damaged, but if you buy thick foil of a good quality, it's durable and can handle quite a lot once installed.
