Removing Door Handles help please!

Right I think I've undone all the screws but my main problem is the black sticky waterproof stuff going around the door.

How far around does it go round the door? Do i have to remove all of it?
As it is bloody hard! lol.

just pull the door card, or get a flat head screwdriver and prise it off, thats what i did. easy as.

Just goes around the bottom iirc. Get a knife up there and slice it all apart then pull really hard!

Thats what i tried lol. Went flying on my ass so tried the knife trick but couldn't get it in the corner where the door joins the body of the car.
I'll try again some point.

when you take the cover for the wingmirror and the opposite peice it should have a gap to get your hand in. grab both sides and give it a tug.
