removing programs from start menu in XP?

sometimes even after i have uninstalled something it still appers in the start progam list 9when u press start and go to all programs). How do i remove them when this happens?


i have something called trader media in there which i think installed when i used autotrader photo upload tool.

I dont have it listed in add/remove programs but want shut of it..

no. i can on another pc i have but this is laptop and when i right click nothing happens. No option to delete.

right click on start menu, then explore, then delete the icon from there

what if something isnt listed when you go into start menu and expore.

Ive just installed adobe reader 8, now i have adobe in start menu and its empty. Doesnt show up when i do the above.
