Removing the seats

Im trying to remove them as I am buying new ones this friday.

Its not the runners I need to take off, its just the seats! Its the starblade (?) screw head apparently and I cant seem to get to unscrew them / or I can, but they aint budging!

Is there any special way to do it, or will I have to undo the runners too? (Meaning jacking the car up and un-doing bolts from underneath!?)

Its easier to take the seat right out and then undo the runners.

Hiya Ratty,

Youve prob solved it by now, but i think you need brut force. You dont need to go under the car. I have recently taken my 16v seats out the front and the bolt things were v. hard to undo, but did it after bit of effort. It helps if you have one of those screwdrivers that bends at the bottom, as a straight normal one makes it hard to get in there...dont know if youve tried that???? what seats are you gettin?
