Renault clio 2013 0.9 engine Q

Hi, I got a Renault clio recently and something in my engine appears disconnected but not sure if this is normal. Picture attached shows what it should look like but mine seems disconnected?

Anyone know what this is and what it does? The car drives fine.

Are you saying you have the plug and the socket and they are not connected?

Or you have only one of them and the other is missing?


If it is running fine, I'd be tempted to leave it...

... but if you can see the plug and see the socket, why not plug it in and see what happens
