renault badge

Just wondered how you go about fitting one of the Renault boot badges.. all that I have looked at are self adhesive, but have the 3 prongs on the back of them... If there was nothing there before, then how do you fit them? I really dont want to have to put holes in the boot.

heres a pic of the badge I mean:

cut the prongs off ?? then use double sided tape to stick it on.

Excellent! thats what I thought about doing! Is that badge the same as what would be on a 182? with the sport badge underneath? or is it a different font?

I bought that one earlier! But I need the one that sits above it and says "Renault"

All I can find are ones with the 3 prongs... Might just get it and as it says above cut the prongs off because there is no way im going to start putting holes in my boot lid! :S

Cheers jonny, I remember you advertising it, but it was only yesterday I thought about getting one. I got one off ebay for 99p! but I still need the "RENAULT" badge that sits above it..

RS badge on a non-RS?

Wow! never had a thread taken over by Haz before! lol...

Yes HAZ!! I know my car is not a 2.0l sport, but it is a replica in a way so thinking of putting the badges on the back! Ive a 182 bumper with twin exhaust cut outs to go on, twin exhaust also on the way, full leather interior, lowering springs, silver seatbelts, it already has the 182 cup alloys and replica side skirts! and is colour coded! I think that with all the mods ive done its as good a reason as any just to stick the badges on!

Making a replica must cost nearly as much as buying a real CS, only without the BHP and other sports bits to back it up.

Save your pennies and get a car that goes not just for show...

Yeah but its not as fun to just have one! Ive enjoyed working on it and its been a good ongoing project to keep me amused when im not at work! better than running the streets!

My car cost me £2000 (Mint condition)(dads mate was selling it)
half leather interior £300
182 Bumper £150 (including painting)
Exhaust is estimated at £170
Seatbelts £35
Door sills £25
Primer/Paint/Laquer £60
182 cup wheels £375
RS Grill £42
Side skirts £150 (including painting and fitting)
Floor mats: £67
Silver handbrake button £15
Silver gear knob £30
Alloy internal door handles £35
Silver 16V Badges £25
Silvervisions £14
Clear side repeaters £13
Lowering springs £70

Cant think of anything else but that all adds up to £1576 roughly spent so far... so would £3576 buy me a decent 182 clio?? I doubt it! and I wouldnt have all the fun and learn so much along the way! It may not have the BHP but at least the insurance isn't through the roof as I only passed my test within the last 6 months and probably wouldn't have a hope of getting insured on a 182 anyway! The RS will come next in a year or so!

Looking at the figures above I havent actually spent as much as I thought I had! woo hoo! :rasp:
