A few weeks ago I was invited down to York for a Renault Test Drive event......

Well I was lucky enough to experience another one today......... Peter (Forum Name: V6 PDT) & Michael (... V6 MDT) received invites to a Test Drive event at Alnwick Castle in Northumberland......... I tagged along since we could take 4 adults
Fantastic day......... but due to the Alnwick Castle grounds being slightly flooded from the large down pour of rain lately, the Renault stand had been relocated to a farmers yard.
Between all of us we drove:
#Vel Satis 3.5 V6 Petrol Automatic
#Kangoo Trecka 4x4
#Megane CC 2.0
#Megane CC 1.6
#Megane Sports Hatch 1.4
#Laguna 2.2 dci
The test track was pretty poor compared to what I had experienced at York gliding centre......... 60% of it was country lanes... OFF ROAD! and the other 40% you couldnt get above 30mph......
There was also no safety lessons demonstrating ABS/ESP etc...... which i really enjoyed at York as I scared the instructor with my skills

Most fun car to drive.... Megane CC 2.0....... although i still think it was VERY slow compared to my 1.6 Megane Coupe.....; I kept hitting the rev limiter in second gear and didnt realise it was ready to change gear. Good fun though.
