Renault Warranty

Just bought a brand new Clio 1.2 Extreme 4 (yes...about as extreme as a kinder egg) and so far have really enjoyed the quiet/smooth drive.

However, like a lot of you I really want to add a few of my own touches....new wheels (speedline turinis, non-renault branded) and lower it say 30mm.

The problem is, I have a 3-year (non-extended) warranty with Renault. Will changing the wheels and suspension invalidate the entire warranty on all parts, or just the parts I change, I.e. wheels, suspension etc.

Thanks.

PS. Opinions on whether 16" white speedline turinis would look good on a new black clio?

  GDI ???BHP Cliosport172

When i had my black clio i spend 3.5k on it with mods&still kept taking it to renault&they just kept sayin that it was ok&i have,nt affected the warranty.

It was lowered, 17" Alloys, rear spoiler, tints, colourcoded all round, piperX induction kit&Zebring twin 3" backbox!!

Also didnt affect my years free insurance!!
But id check just incase

Just browsing through the forums the message Im getting that the warranty will not be voided, but if a modified part directly affects another, then that part is not covered.

Any pics of a black clio (pref none-renaultsport) with white speedline turinis? Probably not.

  Renault Laguna Coupe

if you put a picture of your car up in the media section, and if you ask veeerrrry nicely, somebody will photoshop the wheels for you.

Rob fenn had posted some pictures of his black 1.2 on coilovers with Cup wheels.

I wouldnt worry about modification though. Renault have been known to replace suspension bits even on cars with coilovers where the coilovers can without a question be totally blamed for the failure but Renault dealerships dont care as so long as they have a failed part to send back to Renault UK they get paid regarless. Plus its not very good PR refusing warently work.
