How far is it you can go before renault void the warranty on a new car throught modding? Air filter, exhaust, boost valve, chip??

I want to improve my 172 but dont want to void my warranty

The wording of the warently means that whatever you modify isnt valid

So if you put lower suspension on it then any suspension realted issue isnt covered.

However some garages seem to be ok with mods and repalace parts if they fail due to a manurfacturing fault even if the cars modded.

There is a corsa member who had a whole new engine in his car when it failed even though he had quite a few engine mods.

It all depends on your garage best to ask them but you wont get anyhting on paper from them it will just be a verble agreement.

If your thinking of chipping the car get a R sport ECu so you can swop back to the old ECU if you have any problems.

Any bodywork mods invalidate the paint warently.

cheers EDD! wont be doing any bodywork mods...not into that, but am looking to fit a filter and chip!

well it aint hard to take off an air filter if it has to go in for any work... its only a 5 min job. Unsure about the chip tho?? my car has been in a few times and i just take off the induction..
