Repairing scratched LCD

I just managed to put a big scratch in my monitor with a dremel bit. Has anyone had any luck using plastic polishes or similar?

It's my old secondary monitor, so it's not a huge deal but I'm still annoyed with myself

It's an AOC e2250swda

It's fairly deep on the right hand side. I tried going over it with a rubber as google suggests, but it didn't do much

Yeah I'm sure I could, I dunno if it's worth it though. What sort of price would it be?

I might use this as an excuse to upgrade my primary display to 120hz

Honestly mate, I had a very similar scratch on a monitor I had. Get a rubber, a white one, just your every day pencil rubber. Rub the scratch with a bit of force and then rub in Vaseline. Repeat a few times and I bet you'll barely notice the scratch :)

I'll be the first to ask. How the f**k did you manage to dremel your screen?
I was just away to sit down at my desk and had a bunch of stuff in my hands and I wasn't paying attention to the hand with the dremel in it. It just glanced across the screen but it had a very abrasive bit in it

I'll give it another try tomorrow.
