Replacing the Nifty Fifty.....

After my camera and nifty fifty took a tumble, the fifty is dead.. RIP.

I managed to get the camera exchanged through Amazon so now looking for a replacement prime.....

I could get another Fifty, but I was finding the focal length a bit too long on a crop.

I am looking at the 35mm F2 or 28mm F1.8 (which is twice the price!).

Thoughts or ay user opinions?

If you can afford the 28mm F1.8 then yeah, but if not then the 35mm?

Are these Nikon or Canon?

The 30mm Sigma is meant to be very good. I almost went for one, but a 50mm f/1.4 came up for a decent price so I got that instead. I'll probably end up buying a wider prime at some point if I can't bring myself to stump up the cash for a full frame camera. The 50mm is good for portraits on a crop though.

I have both Sigma 30mm F/1.4 and a Nikon 50mm F/1.8

Both are very very good, but the certainly the wider angle of the Sigma helps a lot with some photographs.
