Replacing windshield rubbers

Hi,

Is there any trick to get the top rubber on the windshield back in place?
After getting the full kit I enthusiastically temoved the top, bu am having a hard time getting the new one on......

Oh mate..... yeah i did that, big mistake that was.
I pulled off all the trim thinking that it would be easy. The sides were easy but the top bit.....my god its a pain. I tried lubing it up and sliding it across, that didnt work and it stopped half way. I then ended up forcing it down into the gap which kind of worked but now everytime I go fast one side of the top strip comes away and flaps in the wind.

You are meant to put the top strip on when having the windscreen swapped, it slots on to the glass and you then put the glass into position.

I am going to have to get my windscreen swapped to fix it.
