reprofiling cams

my mate has a set of uprated cams for my vx, one of them has a chip out of it, it is possible to have these "repaired" and reprofiled?

Possibly, doubt it would be cheap, plus i wouldnt want it in my engine being thrashed.....

Not have the 1 good shaft off him, and buy a new one to replace the other?

I wouldnt have thought they could repair the chip? Is it on one of the lobes?

cams can be reprofiled, cant remember the company name/website, will find out and whack it up here for you

How was it chipped? Heard of scoring or even snapping but not chipped!

i woodnt risk gettin it repaired, it wood need to b filled with the same material and machined it to its original spec...but to fill the chip i think a bit of alloy welding wood b done, but puttin any heat more than wat the engine runs at, risk messin with the structure of the material....IMO get a new one lol.
