Retrofit folding mirrors into none folding housing?

Hi guys,

My car has the power folding mirrors unfortunately the case on my drivers side is damaged. I’m struggling to find a replacement.

Is it possible to dismantle the mirrors and replace just the housing into a non folding model?

Has anybody done this? Or know if it’s possible at all?

The anwser to this is no, the 2 mirrors are very different inside.

Tha caps can be changed mate. Remove the mirror. Unscrew mirror adjusting platform (3/4 screws I think) and you will see the little plastic tabs that you need to press and push through. The whole mirror unit also needs folding in as there a clip at the far edge.

There is no way to do it as far as i can see, the folding is built into the hinge which is moulded to the mirror housing.

Sorry just realised its the main case you want to swap - I thought you wanted to swap just the cover.

Got a new one from RPD for £150 reasonable i thought.

Breakers have none, if they even believe a clio had power fold mirrors.
