At what speed was I going when I hit the limiter in 4th?
Why didnt you look at the speedo?

Also was the engine hot or cold?
Had you been driving for a long time?
Were you going down hill or uphill?

Like come on man... if youd looked - youd know. IMHO your looking at between 110 and 120.

Why didnt you look at the speedo?

Not allowed to discuss that on Cliosport anymore. Needless to say I was concentrating on something else, in fact the limiter caught me by surprise.

Also was the engine hot or cold?

It had barely/only just reached full water temperature, I know I shouldnt have pushed it so soon.

Had you been driving for a long time?

5 minutes, again I know I should have let it warm up.

Were you going down hill or uphill?

On the flat

Limiter caught you by surprise? The shift light is on for quite a while when your at the top of fourth gear.......... Sounds like it was cold, so limiter would have been at about 6250 rpm.... about 108 mph. Not completely sure becuase I think the gear ratios are slighlty different in the 182 to my 172..... my 172 does about 114* in fourth. On a private runway.

*this is not GPS verified and is only my guestimate from galncing at the speedo.

Yeah I think it would have pretty much got to 7k or 6900 at least as I am sure it did in 2nd and 3rd. But normally I can go just over 7 before it comes on?

I change up at 7k anyway as you can feel the power dropping off at that point. I assume that chip does more than just raise the limit because I feel I would be better off changing up than going past 7k.

Dont know how it is on the 172/182s but on my williams my car is noticeably faster revving to my 7.1k limit than a standard car changing up at 6.5k....mine does 113ish in 4th btw.

My car makes 172 hp@ 6k 181@6500 and 179 hp @ limiter @7800 rpm. Torque dies down a little but it pulls very cleanly to the limiter with no slow down.
