Rev limiter problem

Im not one for hitting the rev limiter much but I've noticed I'm hitting it at 6,800rpm and not always 7,300 as it should be,any ideas why this is and how I can sort it out? Thanks

Yup, just gotta wait till the oil is hot enough and the limit rises.

Usually takes a while but it's there for a reason. Pretty sure CTR's are also like this??

CTRs the Vtec won't kick in till engine is hot!!

Means you're thrashing the car whilst the oil isn't up to temp, a mental note has been made not to buy any of your cars in the future

need to give your car plenty of time to warm up ! its there for a reason, to help prevent you from damaging the engine.

try to resist traffic light grand prix untill your engine is up to temp.

FYI this isn't the temp displayed on the dash either.

I'd been on the road for atleast 20 minutes,and I always run my car up for 5 minutes minimum before each journey.
