Reverse gear layout

I haven't actually bought my clio yet, should be getting it on Saturday. I only driven it once though so didn't really look into the reverse but I noticed it has reverse next to 1st which is different as I am used to it being below 5th.

My question is, is there some kind of switch like you have to lift it to get it into reverse? When I drove it I managed to get it straight into first but is it possible to accidently slip into reverse instead of 1st?

It's a lift up reverse so it's not possible.

This being a Mk2 Ph1, I would assume they are all the same.

Depends which one it is, the Mk2 DCI 100s have reverse down to the right where 6th would be IIRC.

Nope its up in the top left next to 1st.
