reverse grinding

when i put my car into revearse it grinds into it but if you do it really really really slow then it doesnt i just want to know is this normal on the clios also when you put it in reverse fast sometimes it doesnt always grind

Normal ish, top tip, when going for reverse, put it into 1st gear, then reverse, no crunch everytime.

Are you completely stopped when you put it into reverse?

Could be clutch drag if so, do you have a thik floor mat stopping you putting the pedal all the way down?

Ye I'm stopped completely and no just got Clio sport foot mats although the clutch pedal is a little loose may just need cable adjusting

i think most cars do this if you move too quickly, as lots use a straight-cut, non-synchronised gear
