reverse light not working?!

changed the bulb,
no difference??

what the hell do i do next???

The holders corrode loads, well they did on my 172

there is a sensor on the gearbox
you have to change it

where abouts on the gearbox??

on the side at the end of the 5th gear cover near the left driveshaft,
unplug the connector and touch the 2 terminals together with the ignition on and see if they work , if so a new switch is required , if not check for 12volts at the wire

so unplug it and bridge the two terminals??

this should make the reverse light come on??

ive unplugged the sensor, and bridged two connections of the wire,
nothing happened

cleaned up the connection and plugged it back in,
still no joy ,

im offering a free omp rear strut brace to anyone who will come get my reverse light working!!!

IS THERE ANY FUSES FOR THE REVERSE LIGHT????
