Reverse lights on a V6

  Ph1 V6
My reverse lights are not working I noticed the other day. Not had chance to investigate yet but thinking it might be a sensor or something as they are both out.

Any ideas anyone?

Check the rear earth point its on the passenger side in the boot behind the interier under the upper seatbelt attchemtn point check its got a good connection.

Then check the rear light cluister for wet connections etc /a broken bulb.

It'll be the switch. Sticks out the top of the gearbox, green connector going into it. Remove engine covers, lean in (from the back of the car) and look down the left side - it's just there. Easy to replace, just unscrews#, about £15 inc post from SG Motorsport. Common fault apparently.

100% the switch. I had one go in the first year, and my second one is on its way out now and hence only working 1 time in 5. As Dan say it's a 5 minute job to do, and only needs the normal covers off. Will be a warranty job for mine when I get it in for its 24k service in the next few weeks.
