Hi again Leigh.

Not wishing to sound above my station  but I normally issue PDis to the non technical guys. After all, CAT do a thorough PDi at the import centre, so theres not a lot that needs to be done! Cough!

You may be saying easy money coz your are in the sales dept and begrudge paying for the final inspection via the ever money hungry workshop!

At Driveline, the cost of the final inspection is reduced to a suitable financial level by the accountants. We only sell time, so it doesnt matter if we only charge the sales £0.01p for a PDI. Its all internal after all.

I did do the Pdi on my wifes new car last saturday (in my own time) and it took me 2 hours. Perfectionist or what?

Did fit a few accessories though. Mudflaps, sill protectors, carpet set (and still managed to pierce my fingers on the staples!) took all the wheels off and coppa slipped the mating faces and threads for the bolts. Torque tigtened all the wheel bolts (as we do on every car - regardless!)

Hours of fun!

We havent sold that many, only 27 for tomorrow, but there are loads more due out this month.
