Revving

When i rev my car for some reason the engine stays reving then slowly greaps back down and i mean slowly. what could this be really annoying me.

have you checked the throttle cable? or is it fly by wire on clios? (sorry i am still learning about the 172's)

Plug it in mate would show up an air leak i think could be a number of things

Could even be a dirty thorttle body?
PH2 are fly by wire so its nothing to do with cables unfortunatly

I'm having similar issues at the moment. Gonna give the throttle body a good cleaning when the weather picks up.

throttle body clean mate how you finding the 172 again? better then the R27?

Iv cleaned the throttle body the other week with some brake cleaner and a cloth as it was black and its now clean maybe needs be done some more.
