Mine keeps stopping working due to the windscreen on my 182. I have it in the hole right at the bottom and its still really tricky to get a lock :(

I have a 182 with UV screen. I used to get full lock with it mounted low down. SO low it was touching the dash. But here it was that low that the laser detector was probably been blocked by the wipers.

This is where I had it first off in this pic.

http://erc.qmuc.ac.uk/cliosport/gallery/full/1106526867__Ra2.jpgso, I decided to buy an additional antenna from blackspot, you have to ask them for the 5 meter one.

Then you can mount it so the laser sensor just looks out of the top of the clear square and hence over the wipers. (on mine at least, my mates 182 wipers are higher than mine)

The power and antenna leads run down the back of the dash down the side and the power lead goes into my 3 way power adaptor near the gear stick. The antenna lead runs behind skirting trim and sits on the drivers side next to the rear parcel shelf looking out of the back window.

These are the only pics I can find of my install but if you do a search Im sure you will find more. I posted a post on my road angel 2 install describing the route to take for wires etc.

hope this helps.
