Rocker Cover Gaskets

  172 cup,s2 rs turbo

try putting a very thin smear of sealer on the gasket before you fit it.also put threadlock on the bolts to stop them from working loose.

did that Jay funnily enough. the seals round the plugs (little orange ones) 2 of those have gone too, so that obviously isnt doing me any favours either

the little orange plugs are just dirt seals etc.they serve no purpose where the oil is concerned.geniune gaskets are suppossed to contain a substance that causes the gasket to stick to the metal.try fitting one without any sealer but put threadlock on the bolts so they dont work loose.

yeah, i can see about the sticky substance as the previous one was well stuck on and i had to give it a good clean to get all the residue etc off before i fitted the new one.
