rokkor coilovers

  MK3 GTI golf 16v
I want to get some rokkor coilovers for my 1.2 granted there cheap so they won't be amazing, but just checking if anyone knows of any problems with them ? I don't want to buy them to find they snap in 3months or something.

Any help would be lovely cheers

only thing i have found with mine is that the ride was quite harsh for a few weeks after fitting but i have had new tyres on so either new tyres or end of the "run in" period has made them smoother

As you'd expect, they're not brilliant.

But I can't recall anyone complaining about them, for the money, they're amazing.

Sounds alright then, there only 50 odd quid more than decent springs so I wont be moaning

Don't set them too low!!! I had mine stupidly far down (by accident lol) and I was thrown about the car at every little bump in the road, they've been wound up now and I can't see any problems with them

Forgive me if I'm being stupid, but if you can't run them too low, what is the benefit over them compared to some Eibach Sportlines or something, which IMO give a fairly decent ride on standard shocks?

its the benifit of completely editable stance, you can move it up and down until youre 100% happy with the height of the front and back.
if you cant go quick, you might as well make it look great!!

also, sportlines dont really lower the car, theyre just uprated springs!
