roll cage info

i need to know what thickness CDS Tube is used and what type of tube bender is used to make it a FIA approved cage ????

dont know the answer myself mate but how about having a look on safety devices website etc?

why ? ask SD dont try making one very hard to get bends right and no calculated strenght

well S/D want £1500 to make me a 6 point cage mmm sod that !!!

I dont even think that the grade of steel pipe they use for cages is available to general public . I dont know wether its right or wrong , but I was informed by a fabricator that only registered roll-cage makers were allowed to by the piping .

Correct me if Im wrong though .

i can get the cds - Cold drawn steel @ work not a problem

but i need to know the regs for compertition roll cages etc

i was at torsion tuning last night discussing tuning options for my williams, while dave was drooling over his GTT conversion work in progress and the subject of cages came up, to which they replied:
