Rollcages

Hi, Does anyone have any suggestions where I might get a rollcage for a Nissan Primera GT SR20DE engine?

Nobody does an off the shelf cage for this car so I have been looking at custom installations, but all have come in at £1000 ish + vat, more than i wanted to pay!!

Suggestions welcome!

scaffold pole, angle grinder, welder and a couple of hours of Freds time, assuming you arent bothered about FIA approval lol

That has actually been considered, though didn't consider Fred actually. Ill have a word with him.

I've never seen him weld so dont know if he does bird s***s or not, although he's always saying how good he is at it

Take it there's no Jap sites or tuners that have been able to help then? No-one like norris designs or possibly anything you can import yourself? I'm guessing if nismo make one it would be stupid money anyway.

Nope no Jap stuff that I can find and the U.S. Infiniti G20 stuff s ok, but then with import tax + postage sends it up into uk prices.

i had mine made at Fusion Fabrication in York

The cage was a one off, using mirror finish stainless steel. As the cage was bolted in correctly with some proper mounts i designed it actually added strength to the chassis as well as being a show cage.

Lee at Fusion also makes steel cages for weld in use.

All cages should add significant chassis stiffness, if they arent then they are useless.

have you given Demon Tweeks a call as there website is as much use as a chocolate firegard . they do sell custom cages but the is a good chance they have got a supplier that sell them .
it may be worth giving them a call on 01978664466
