Rotary will yeild better results, but has a steeper learning curve, if you make a mistake with the rotary you may go through ther paint.

In the middle of a panel you would have to try hard to burn paint.

Main things to watch with a rotary - it is harder to a perfect finish than with a PC - lots of bad rotary jobs leave holograms in the paint. Takes some practice to get a wax free finish with it.

On the edges of panels, the rotary will go through easily so you need to be alot more carefull.

The heat built up by the rotary is a lot greater then by PC, so can make working on plastics dangerous as they can disapate the heat like a metal panel.

The PC will stop spinning as fast and it's motor bog down if you use to much pressure - the rotary wont, so it lacks a bit of the inbuilt safety of the PC.
