anyone know the normal rpm of a 94 1.8 16v clio in 5th @60mph, coz mines doin nearly 3500, seems a tad high?!

Thats more than my 1.4RT does mate

it is a litle high, in a valver, 3k should be around 60, 4k 80, 5k 100 etc

anyone got any ideas why this is, surely it cant have had the wrong gearbox fitted earlier in its life.

Might have a 19 gearbox on it. What sort of top end speed do ya get on ya private road?
