RR in midlands

Car  R35 GTR
Just want a quick go on one to see what power increase I have gained with my viper and SMT6. any good places around the midlands, wolverhampton or telford area preferably.

theres one in hinckley, john wilcox, I know theres been meets there b4. I'd be up for that

Yeah HP have one, the one at Wilcox is crap, not a constant load RR!
If you are wanting to compare you need to go back to the place you had it done last time.

Mat.

I havent done it before, so anywhere will be fine as long as there figures aren't too exagerated.
Who wants to arrange it then?

do you reckon i'd embaress myself if i took my 1.2 along lol. i'd be interested to know how much bhp my vipers added etc.

I read that there can be upto 15 bhp difference straight out of the box due to tolerances.

Theres also Phoenix motors in Hinckley off the dodwells estate. Not sure if Colin Blowers also have an RR too.

There was a RR day in August (I think) at Aldon. The results were pretty low, and this was everyone's car, not just the occasional 1 or 2. I don't know any down here, (Telford/W.Midlands) so I can't give any advice.

We had one at Northampton Motorsport a while ago. Everyone was consistently 10bhp down on what they expected. Pics

Then a month or two later we went to Power Engineering, where everyone was pretty much spot on what they expected, except for a few with obvious problems. Pics

I'll have a word with Nick, last time i was over there it was out of action.
Also, he doesn't have the facility to provide a print-out at present but we'll have plenty of witnesses.

surely taking it to a renault expert would be better,i've had mine on nicks rollers before and after i had some work done,

not sure about nicks but they tend to vary. iv seen them from £15 for 2 runs to £45 for 2 runs!

I had a word with Nick, but he wants to hold off having a rolling road day until he has got the data-logging facilities.
Will let you know when he's ready.

I do want to have a go on the rollers, spent soooo much already and only added chip and viper, wanna see if it is worth it.

I have heard there is a RR meet at hillpower around the 11/12th feb, I have holiday booked for this day and would like to go.

Anyone have any info?

dont kno if clio sports organised 1, havnt lukd n cba 2 lol....

but i kno williamsclio have organised a RR day on the 11th feb @ hillpower......however all the spaces have been taken as nicks only runnin a cirtain number of cars

i was going to organise 1 for the west midlands in december but everyone wanted to get christmas & new year out of the way! if people are still up for it i could organise 1 at Dyno-tunning Bromsgrove?

if i remember correctley it is normally £60 per head & you get 3 runs on the rr and a printed data sheet with your bhp & torque figures, but if we get 10 people is down to £30 a head or 5 people its £45.

i think everyone would be interested in the new set up nicks got he'll be able to record your car on the rollers and save it to a memory stick plus a detailed graph while its running

Ok, I am gonna go down what ever happens, anybody else want to come? Might get a discount for one or more? Will probably be a weekday, hopefully this friday.

dyno- tunning can do everthing nicks can do + its on an american style single roller and has a fan the size of a car that costs £6000
