RS Tuner, not the normal questions

Right I have an RS tuner which I brought new and used on my old 172. now I have plugged it in the cup it has given some fault codes shown in the screen shot below. As far as I know the codes are old ones as there are no lights and the car runs fine. however can anyway shed light on what they mean?


Secondly the main screen shows what looks like previous readings of the ecu. can anyone make sense of what these mean? is it just a case of old diagnoses reading or has it been mapped before?


And lastly can I just purchase an unlock code as i already have the map from before?

Codes look like the inlet plenum has been removed with ignition on at some point

Yeh you can just buy an unlock code.

You can unlock it but if your map was for a ph1 then it will not be compatible with your ph2 cup.

Just click to clear the codes and they wont come back if its an old issue, if they do come back its still current.

Loads of people have Ph2 Maps we can send over, I have the map that gave me good results on my engine which im more than happy to email over to you if you want it.

Cheers guys. I have cleared the codes so hope they dont come back, just thought I check though.

As for the map I just checked and it's got a different ecu software to my first 172 even though they are not ph2's. So if anyone has got the rst file starting with a 7 to match my 7300 and the map that would be great.

Normal 172 = 6500

172 cup =7300..

Sorry but thats the file i haven't got .Also you only load a calibration on to the cups there is no update software needed like the other models.

182 is also different. There is only one version for the cup as far as im aware and it has to be the 7300 cal.

Yep need both unless its first time use of the tuner

^^^You need it from henk as they are now rstuner specific maps iirc on the newer modules they are locked to the vci, There was a lad the other week who had a second hand overun map and he ended up wiping the whole lot off the ecu.
