Rs192 exhaust issues. Help!

Fitted my rs192 today and it's sitting slightly back in the bumper like it's too short! I will try and get pics up later. Anyone know where I may have gone wrong?

IIRC thats how they are supposed to sit. i had this, the best thing to do is buy the scorpion de cat to go with the system. this pushes it back out by about 10mm because the de cat is slightly longer than the OE cat.

Also when warm will sit further out a tiny bit .

Okay, it's just that it doesn't come out the bumper at all an I thought that surely it's says scorpion on top of the tips so you can see it?

Have you go any photos as all off the one's I have seen sit flush with the rear bumper not inside it and they haven't been de-catted!

mine sat like that originally but since then ive pushed mine further out by tapping the rear of each back box with a soft mallet while the rear clamp was slightly loose.

ive had a custom decat to fit so cant comment on the extra lenth of that but all pics above was taken with standard cat in.

Looks better poking out. I need to grab some new mounts as one of mine is pretty shot.

jon i got some brand new ones from renault when i purchased the rs192 but still had slight sagging problem. i took the mounts off and filled them with tiger seal and let them set overnight. been perfect ever since

Ah, I'll fill them with sealant tomorrow then. Got loads lying around! Yep, I organised a group buy, so got it at a pretty good price. Really happy with it!

Ye they look much better than mine! I will hopefully sort it out this weekend. Ive packed mine out with a piece of steel tube. whats this tiger seal all about?

you can buy it from hardware stores. its just a strong sealant that turns to rubber once set.

okay, so how do you get the hanger in the position you want before sealing it? you got any pics?

well i had a new set of mounts from renault but still had a slight sagging problem so i just took mine off and covered the mounts back and front in the tiger seal and let it set overnight. one dry and hard i put them back on removing any washers above the mound bolts for it to sit neat and straight.

i dont have before pics but i have a pic of my mount as it currently stands if you want? there was a thread on this a while back

oh right i see. Ive got old and really saggy mounts so im thinking before i fill it with sealant, i will have to pull the rubber into the top corner because thats where the steel tube ive used to bodge it is pushing the rubber to. Ye pics would be good im gonna look for this thread

here is mine. its not the neatest but you dont see them anyway. stayed the same ever since, no sagging at all.

Cable tie's to pull the rubber mount up to where you want it

Ye thats what ive done at the munite. Got a piece of 30mm steel tube and put cable ties round it to pull it across. Im worried it might not hold tho!

Im fitting the decat at the weekend, does it make a big difference to the rs192?

When I put a bicycle seat post in my mounts there was A LOT of resonance as the mount would no longer take the vibrations. Be careful how big a piece you put in.
