HEY GUYS SEEM TO HAVE A SQUEALING NOISE ON START UP COMING FROM JUST BEHIND THE TIMING BELT AREA NEAR THE INLET MANIFOLD AND FUEL RAIL.. IT SEEMS TO GET QUIETER AS IT GETS HOTTER AND THEN EVENTUALLY DISAPPEARS. IVE CHANGED THE ALTERNATOR BELT AND HAD IT TENSIONED BUT STILL THERE. BUT A BIT OF OIL AROUND THE PULLEYS BUT STILL THERE HA. ANY IDEAS? :dapprove:

  Car SOLD :-(
Had the same noise on my RSi. Mine turned out to be one of the pulleys on the side of the block, a couple have bearings in iirc. I ended up changing all four at a cost of £200:eek: . Try a bit of light lube to quiten them down once a week.

lol sorry bout the caps key ha. i tried lubing the pulleys it went away for a couple of seconds then returned ha. also it only apears at certain revs, for eg it would happen at 2 and half thousand revs and then 2mins later it would make the noise at a thousand revs.
