rstuner remap?

Hi,

I've read about the rstuner, and you can use it to upload new maps to your ecu.

I don't understand how the maps are configured, are they predefined one's that you can obtain from a source? are do you configure them unique to your car and mods?

If they are predefined, how specific are they to what mods you might have?

I believe my car had a 98 rstuner map when it had the decat on. What affect might this have, now I've fitted a sports cat?

They are standard maps written by Henk from Fastchip.nl, you can however pay extra for a custom map but most people stick with the generic uprated maps.

Thanks, so I've probably got one of these here, something like

Performance Calibrations [write CAL]
8200_7A04 RON98 CB21 June 2009 .cal
8200_7804 RON98 CB22 May 2009 .cal
8200_7C03 RON98 CB6K June 2009 .ca

So it probably won't be affect by decat/cat, unless it was custom.
