Chromebooks purely use web based software as far as I'm aware, so you won't be able to download the software needed.

Right fair enough thought that'd be the case. I know it's linux based so thought it may be able to do more.
I'm sure I read a few articles about developer options on chrome books and booting to Linux os
It's windows only software. You can not run it without windows (or a windows vm) period.
Ahh, well if you run Linux then have a VM of windows running through that you'll be able to load it
