Hey guys is the pops and bangs map very noticeable with a standard cat on?! I have a cat back stainless and would love pops and bangs!!!

Just to add I am over the moon with the map, why Renault never did it from factory is a mistery. However I was going to get the pops and bangs map but when I heard it on the video below it put me off. Think it's a bit OTT really

You need to download the RStuner software from fastchip.nl if you haven't done so already.

They aren't like this out of the factory probably because of emissions regulations amongst other things.

exactly right its because emissions, I would love to put some of what we call our "weekend cal" when we take a development vehicle home, to be permanent but unfortuatly the emissions wont allow

worst rs tuner thread ever? wish people would read up on things before they buy them. iv lost count of the number of "how do i do this, and how do i do download that" rs tuner threads. ffs people use the search facility!!

Well it is sometimes easier if people tell you how to do it instead of looking through instructions

This is what I did on mine at the weekend:

1. Download RS Tuner software from Fastchips website
2. Connect RS Tuner to Laptop and click the RS logo to find out code needed for unlocking (for second hand RS Tuners)
3. Order unlock code from Fast Chips website and include the unique number from step 2 in the order.
4. When unlock code arrives from Fast Chips plug in RS tuner to laptop & car, click on the RS logo and insert unlock code.
5. Click Read ECU - This backs up your current ECU settings (Takes around 20mins)
6. Click Read CAL - This backs up your current map settings (Takes around 5mins)
7. Click write ECU and select your NEW .RST file supplied by Fast Chips (Takes around 20mins)
8. Click write CAL and select your NEW desired map 98RON, Pops & Chav Bangs etc (Takes around 5mins)
9. Take car out for a drive and enjoy...

I already had the new ECU and CAL files so didn't require any from Fast Chips. You can buy these from their website (or ask a friendly CS member )

It look me a little while to get my head around it but the RS Tuner guide is worth reading. I'm happy to help out if anyone gets stuck.

Think why gazza if having a problem through speaking with him is he has only been sent the rst file and not the cal file as well. Hence his confusion

im a little confused with getting the license i have copied my vci number but when going to order of fastchip site it says to put the number into a box at the bottom but there isn't one?

thats what im using but mine is 2nd hand so guessing i don't have a map and have to buy one yes? the one for 29 euros?

decatted the car couple of months ago and was curious (mine's a 182 cup packed)

You can't share that map. It's locked to each car as far as I'm aware
