RT judders.

  1.9 Diesel RT
Okay, so when I get my RT into 2nd gear, it sometimes gives a little judder and then suddenly picks up memento. Just wondered if anyone else has had this problem, or knows what it might be?
I'm thinking there may be some sort of blockage somewhere, or just that the fuels not running as fast it should round the engine?

It could be many things, but it sounds more like it could be a misfire to me.

Yeah. Had a word with the brother today and he thought the same thing. How much do you think it'd be to get it sorted out?

Well depends what it is mate. Have you had a service recently?

I'd say, without knowing too much about a 1.4 RT, that replacing the spark plugs and HT leads as part of a routine service. I'd also check your earths if that doesn't solve it.

Make sure all your bulbs are working and what not. I've got a Mini so I'm used to electrical gremlins. If its powered - make sure it works. You'll soon find the problem.

is it like it hesitates? mine did this and it had sumthing to do with the carb and it searching or something because the track had worn or something? dont know the details but he changed the carb and it worked with no hesitation!

Best thing to do mate is give the throttle body a good clean up with some carb cleaner etc. I had this problem a couple of times with my 1.4 but after cleaning up the TB I didn't have any problems with it. It only seemed to happen when started from cold on mine and I haven't had it happen since the weather picked up a bit.
