i got mine done at a garage inc the cambelt changed cost £150!

its meant to be a right b**ch to get to!

where bouts u live?

well im gonna try it myself, so is it the actuall water pump thats fcuked, or just the seal? ie is it likely that ill need a whole new water pump? ne body done this b4 on an rt? thx peeps 4 the replys, im from suffolk m8y

a new water pump and seals is £30 from halfords!

we sounds like jus the seal has gone so drain the water etc and then take off the waterpump and either use a new gasket or sealant in a tube!

When u strip it out you will more than likely find its the pump itself leaking, not the gasket. You should also replace the timing belt at the same time, you should never refit the old belt.

how much is a new timing belt as i have the same problem? i will fit it all myself and just seal the pump with sealant in a tube. whats the best way to mark the timing belt if i dont replace it?

You cant just seal the pump with sealant if its leaking it will usually b from the bearing or the small hole underneath. Either way it will need replacing. You only want to do the job once surely.

Water pump should be about $25 and a cam belt is $10. Get it from GSF. Also use decent coolant.
