Hiya,
Last night, at about 22.40, I had my first collision with wildlife. I hit a deer that ran out into the road in front of me.
I was absolutely hysterical, went into shock and everything. Couldn't breathe and nearly fainted. Was so glad my fiance was in the passenger seat and that my best friends were in the car behind me.
Damage isn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Saw it properly for the first this morning. Cracked front bumper and grill. Small dent on the passenger side of my bonnet, right at the front of it, next to the light. The brackets holding the radiator in place have snapped and the radiator was hanging down. My Dad came to meet me and help us all out and tied it back up with bootlaces so I could get my car home.
Well, I wanted a new bumper and grill anyway, but god, I feel so AWFUL!!! Never hit anything before and it was so horrible. Apparently there were two deer. All I remember is there was a big one and I slammed on the brakes and then I hit it, but the one I hit was actually a lot smaller. I couldn't work it out until Barry (my fiance) told me that two deer ran out.
Best of all, it was -3 degrees at that time last night. Couldn't feel the cold because I was in shock, but I had numb feet, legs and hands.
