Running cable to door speakers

I want to run cable from my head unit to my door speakers. I have had the dash off thanks to some help from folks on here.

I woudl now like some advice on the best way to get the cable into the door. do I need to take the door to bits? Can the cable run therough the rubber thing that already hold cables?

Thanks in advance.

i did a guide, i presume the same will apply for a Mk2

Yeah it does. Its a real pain in the ass to do, I've run the wires through to the doors in my RT and the 172 and I'm never doing it again!

you don't needto run thenm through the doors Cheat! tape them to the bottom of the dash tp the point of your doors then feed it between the door card and the door itself, you might want to cut a wee bit away to do this

Instant and easy witing plus you barely damage anything :)

not wure what you mean...you mean havingthe cable hang loose just below the rubber bit in the doors?

Three ways you can do this.

1) Easy. Splice into the standard wiring which uses the OE loom. Works fine for my friend who puts about 300rms into his K2P.

2) Normal. Drill a hole in the metal or the rubber housing loom and run it through here. This is what I've done...major b@stard to do but I dont drill into the metal.

2) Lazy. Run the wire and have it hanging from the car to the door card. Works but you have to allow for some slack when you have the door fully open.
