My advice sand them reasonably well, plenty of panel wipe, use a plastic primer , then a high build 2k primer else you'll be all day, that nasty plastic bubbles as you sand it, needs to be wet or you'll use alot of sand paper lol.
You will struggle to get a high gloss finish with none 2k clear coat, but do be advised if 2k you really need to be very careful, its deadly, invest in a good full face mask for 2k. If you going to use 1k Stuff, id recommend U-Pol, very good but you'll need several coats.
