know its been discussed considerably on here but just wanting to check something after been told by Renault that they only do the turn by turn from factory?

what does this mean I thought the option was either. Clearly if you pay the £1500 you get the colour built in one, there are no other colour versions available are there apart from the in built in one which replaces the radio display?

Dear Mr

Thank you for your recent e-mail regarding Renault Clio 182.

I can advise that the display is positioned towards the top of the dashboard where the radio display is.

VDO Dayton is fitted aftersale. Our unit is Carminat (turn by turn)

Since launch in 1991, Clio has consistently been in the top 10 models. Clio
is now firmly established as the sporting supermini with Va Va Voom, with
the success of Dynamique trim level and the widespread acclaim for the Clio
Renaultsport 172 dCi models have also played an important part in the
success of Clio, with dCi 65 and dCi 80.

Clio 2004 will build on these strengths, offering new interiors, new
colours, and revised styling to continue the success. However, the two
major changes are the introduction of the dCi 100 engines, and the Clio
Renaultsport 182 version, both of which will outperform their respective
competitors. There will also be new colours available throughout the Clio
2004 range, with several exciting new Renaultsport specific colours being
introduced for the Clio Renaultsport 182.

To enhance New Clios sporty image, Dynamique trim will now include updated
styling with:
New front bumper design
New Alium alloy wheels (15" versions of the style used on the
Renaultsport 172)
Larger body-coloured rear spoiler (again from the Renaultsport 172)
Inside youll find new Graphic Night upholstery, aluminium-style fascia
inserts and door handles and silver-grey coloured seat belts

The new dCi 100 is the latest addition to the range. You already know how
responsive the dCi 80 is and the 100hp version improves it further. A 25%
increase in hp and 12% increase in torque at lower revs will make this our
first hot hatch Diesel. Yet this performance gain is not at the expense
of economy with 66mpg on the combined cycle and a CO2 emissions result of
113g/km.

I hope that I have answered your question. If you have any other enquiries
please feel free to contact us at Renault Customer Services.

With regards

Shirley Graham

Youd be better off going to your nearest car audio dealer and buying an aftermarket system.

They should be able to fabricate your dash to replicate the factory system, aftermarket systems are generally far better specced than the factory systems.
