sat nav clock

basically when my dad sets the clock on the sat nav screen it only says the right time for a couple of minutes, then it says the wrong time by 1/2 an hour.

when you start the car the clock says 1 oclock, after 5 minutes it changes to the correct time !

how do you make it stay right,

help please

Thanks

Sounds like your second problem you are talking about is it updating via RDS, what happens is some clocks on stereos take the time from the RDS signals from radio stations. When you turn the radio off the memory/permanent power feed to the back of the stereo should make sure the clock keeps the right time, From what you say with it saying 1 o clock when you start the car each time sounds like the permanent power wire may not be attached right?

Or it could be something completely different!!
