Sat Nav updating????

my clio 182 has a factory fitted sat nav made by renault ive absolutelly no idea how to update it. can it even be updated if so does any1 kno how??
its quite rare to find 1 with this in. its very cool.

you have to buy the disc from renault mate and IIRC its a fortune!

The disc unit is in the boot. I'd suggest searching the bittorrents, not sure how new the maps will be though. Mine still seems to work ok.

Probably why only 42 people chose it as an option to start with !, good news is that it won't be that much out of date yet anyway, my brother uses a navman thats 5 year old and it's routes aren't that different to my new tom tom.

Get the disc off ebay, you want Carminat, vdo dayton. Just get the UK one (unless your off abroad) the whole lot costs a fortune though.

Mine works just fine, 2008 disc, Postcode search and 215000 Points of interest.

Is a shame as its otherwise not a bad system considering the age. I still need to silicone seal the mount though. Did your old man get his sorted mate?

YEp, FF satnav with latest discs does Postcode search and TMC.

I used it today and I will be using it tomorrow, it's not full postcode but soon as you put in the beginning it shows the roads the postcode pertains to.

YEp, FF satnav with latest discs does Postcode search and TMC.

I used it today and I will be using it tomorrow, it's not full postcode but soon as you put in the beginning it shows the roads the postcode pertains to.

I think my old mans got a 2007/2008 disc (I got it for him, but can't remember) his doesn't do the post code though The old disc he had didn't do it either.

I guess your disc is that bit newer or something

Not sure, I'll take a picture if you like, you do need the address to go with the postcode to be sure where you are going but I normally have the full addess and postcode.

You do realise there isn't a option to enter postcode, you enter the postcode in the search where you would search for a road name.
Have you tried that?

Does yours do TMC?

I'll check tomorrow, but don't think so no.

Would be a useful feature if it did though tbh.

Traffic message Channel, you would have seen it give info if you had it.
I've got that working on mine.
I can copy the disc and post it out to anyone that needs it.

I'll have a look in the manual tomorrow and find out. If I can't find your version onlione would be very interested in copy!
